On the Job

It was four a.m. when the alarm rang.

And three pillows started to fall.

Two silly eyes squinted and checked the clock.

One angry poke then everything stopped.

A decision must be made-

So, he stretched those legs and sat down.

He thought about his king-size bed:

“My pillows were big and squishy,

The blankets were incredibly comfy,

Just for today, just for today...”

And at last, he made up his mind.
