Jagged Little Pieces

Wed, 10/15/2014 - 14:47 -- JCo.

A solid mask, one set of stone

no emotion, no betrayal

cold, broken, and alone

No smile, no frown

keep it to yourself

we don’t want you around

Neither happiness, nor sorrow

keep your cool

tell me about it tomorrow

I could feel shattered

I could feel joy

to them it doesn’t matter

As long as I tell the lie

as long as I keep in check

who cares what’s behind my eyes

We can’t hold all in apathy

we can’t all be unamused

but no one wants a piece of the real me
