It's NOT a joke

You don't know what it's like

to have these feelings inside of you

They are not imagined or dramatized

They are there no matter what you do.

The man on the news has killed himself

Reports of this great tragedy for the world to hear

It hurts inside me to know what he was feeling

When he was so consumed in his fear

You think it's funny to joke and laugh

When people have suffered so long

You think they are cowards who have given up

You think they'd be alive if they were strong

That's not the case, just open your eyes

Some people have different minds

With thoughts gone wild and uncontrolled

The light cut out, and close the blinds

Don't swim in ignorance all your life

Please stop laughing and mocking our pain

Your words do hurt down deep inside

Just drop your ridicule, your hurt, and disdain

Depression is serious

Stop making fun of it

Don't just care after someone dies

Please, stop, please just quit
