I realized people can fall in love just as fast as they can fall out of it. I also realized that sooner or later you're going to have to forget about them. You're going to have to forget how they made the butterflies in your stomach erupt into millions, and how they touched you, how their kisses felt, how happy they made you. All of it. You're going to have to forget how their laugh was, how they smiled, how their eyes glistened when you made them laugh. You're going to have to forget how their hands wrapped around your waist or how their hands felt in yours and how perfectly aligned they are with yours. You're going to have to forget about all the plans they made with you, all the texts and calls and pictures, they have to be gone. You have to forget about them eventually. And it's scary, I know, but you're going to eventually find out this was better for you and you'll find someone else and you'll make new memories and you'll realize more about them than what you did before like what their Starbucks order is, or how their lips curl up into a smile, or how red their cheeks get when you kiss them or the butterflies you feel in your stomach. And it's because you've forgotten about the other butterflies, you've forgotten the taste of their lips, and you've forgotten how it feels to cry over someone, or how it feels to have your heart broken. And it's good, you've found someone who can make them flutter again, and who can hold your heart without breaking it.
