They say bring your own device,

But now we can leave behind the teacher?

I miss the personal guidance and advice

Of an instructor, a mentor, a living creature.

They say here, everything is on these iPads;

Few still captivate our minds in lecture.

As we mindlessly take notes from online texts with ads,

The best now offered in debate is conjecture.

They say this is a cyber-safe learning zone

While distractions are put in my hand.

When will policy reject the smartphone

In favor of a teacher who can stand?

Oh, I like this! Your words flow well and your rhyming is on point. Personally, I think technology in the classroom is resourceful, but class shouldn't be teached solely with technology.
