It will be okay

Pouring rain, and singing drains

Broken smiles and driving miles

Everything will be okay

a fallen tear, and hurting head,
disheveled hair from tossing and turning in bed.
Unread text messages, and several missed called.
No one cares, no one at all.

It's all in your mind, none of it true.
You're a beautiful soul, just hurt.
bruised to black and blue.

the time will come, though it may be far
where you'll look back at all the sadness in your life and be glad you didn't close the book.

you'll appreciate that you read on through the chapters and chapters you seemingly felt so terrifyingly alone.

you'll realize that it all had a purpose
it all helped you be you
your armor will never break again,
stronger then before. you'll always win.

your self destructive tendencies will begin to stop
you'll love yourself, from bottom to top
you deserve it though
because for sure

it'll be okay you tell yourself.
and one day, it is.
