Is it just me or is the world a dark place 

filled with people that don't wanna see sucess in our race

Is it just me or is the world filled with fakes

or snakes slitherin' around under leaves I didn't rake

 I mean is it just me or they don't wanna see us a learn 

like it's a crime to see an african american book worm 

Is it just me or we are gettin' sterotyped daily

thinkin' blacks are only good for committing crimes and makin' babies

I mean is it just me because I know we all see it 

just takes one to explain and everyone else to believe it

It cant be just me but I guess I'm the tryin' to stand up 

lets make them believe that we can put the guns down and pull our pants up
