It Began In A Counselor's Office

Tue, 06/28/2016 - 14:38 -- tee513

The first time I walked in

I smelled the scent of her candles and penciled in meetings

She said speak

So I spoke

Then I cried.

It began.

The next few consultations

I closed myself off.

Didn’t let too much trickle over,

Didn’t let her get too close,

She noticed.

It began.

The letters only intended for my eyes

That hold everything and everyone

In words and rhymes

Boom, ONE word, Boom, NEW line

The only ones who got under the wire.

It began.

But it still hasn’t ended

And I’m not sure it will.
