The stars are not as bright nor the moonlight as sweet

It is not the same until I find you in my arms

 

The air is damp and musty without you

I feel a chill that will not go away

 

Because I know it will never be heaven until you get here

Darkness seems cloying 

My eyes burn 

Tears never seem far away

 

I reach for you and find emptiness

I dream of kissing you

I breathe deeply and find only dust
