Israel

Ephesians 2:11-13

New Life Corporately

11 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh—who are called “uncircumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands— 12 that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Israel my home

Grafted into the tree of life ... circumcised in heart

The Lord did it all ... me being in the right place

Now I am secured ... while my country is at war

Against nations with some Christians ... who is me?

When bombs rain down on brothers ... on either side

I can’t be in the middle ... that’s far from right

I cannot be impartial ... when two fight for existence

For me not to choose at all is the worst predicament

We fight a common enemy ... the darkest of them all

He came to destroy and wreck the peaceful and the small

Little left to hope for ... few here left to call

For the prince of this world is most beloved after all

On every continent and space his followers seem to control

Guided by artificial light they dig and dig a deeper hole

We are already deep enough that only few can crawl out

But silly us we are still too high not knowing what it is all about

Self chosen blindness and with a white cane in hand

We think to see clearly towards the Promised Land

Soon it will be too late in our comfort on demand

Judgment is right behind the door ... as long ago was planned
