The Invisible Voices

One day we were laughing and smiling

The next I get a call

She's Gone

Her life was too overwhelming

Pushed her

Over the

Edge

No one ever knew, she played it coy

Smiled when she needed too

But there were signs

We just

Choose

TO

Ignore them

She lost weight

Sleep depraved

Staying up late

Living a life to please her family

She was not happy

But I knew this, I knew all her secrets,

at least I thought I did

Death by hanging

I could have helped her, saved her

But

I ignored the

Signs and thought she

Would

be

Alright,

Silly Me

Even the strongest people

Crack and are forced

Over the

Edge

I thought she would

Overcome them

She always

does

But how long can you fight it

Until

the Voices

Start to

Win

She may have lost the battle

But I can save another friend

Don't let your friend slip away

and be held

Captive by those

Invisible Voices.

We all play a role in suicide, take time to love others because tomorrow they might be gone.
