Invisible Star

Hidden behind the curtain, only known to few,

she shines the light and sounds the applause, but little have they knew.

She watches her friends receive flowers, kisses, and more,

just watching from the sidelines, staring at the door.

They never came, and she didn't expect them to,

she had a family here, and that was better than she ever knew.
