Intervention

Sat, 05/18/2013 - 08:58 -- Cryptic

Self destruction is the production
Of withholding information
Within thyself
Planning never to face
the very tension
Within yourself
And it shows
With the lack luster smile
And loss of joy
Manipulated like a toy
Moving from place to place
Like a dragging shoe lace
Failing to care or even be aware
That your retention rate drops
And we want this to stop
But this isn't a detention
This here is your intervention
For the suppression
That's been getting out of control
Now pay attention
For the succession at which
I'll be presenting this lesson
May be hard to grasp
All in one session
But it'll shift in your mind
Allowing you time
to begin processing
And progressing to relief
Through the cycle of grief
So let the disdain
in your membrane
Rise to the surface
Of your champagne life
Releasing the troubles
with every pop
Relaxing not just you physically
But mentally as well
Allowing you to sell to yourself
One of the greatest discoveries
The truth of recovery
But this process is long
And there seems to be
This wrong mentality
That by going through the process
You’re weak
When in reality
As times get bleak
You'll see
How strong you really are
And see the scar
That shows that your healing
Is near not far
