Interested

Nothing interested me,

Not your smile, your eyes, nor the laugh lines

That you get around your mouth when you smile

I didn't even know that it was you at first.

Not until you said hello.

Not until you became my best friend.

Not until you asked me to a football game

And talked about the game the whole time,

But I didn't understand a word that you said.

I don't know how you did it, but now I'm kind of interested

I  understand why when you walk into a room everyone wants to talk to you

Even if we all know that it's only for a little while.

No your not perfect nor do you even come close to being it

But you don't have to be

Because now I know that its you

Its you that give me these feelings that I can't control

And make me think of things that I've never even considered before

Now you've got my full attention

And by the way I'm very interested
