Inspiration In the Mundane
The cold side of a pillow
is magic, waiting to happen
The condensation of a coke can
is disturbing in drips
The salt of the air
is tantalizing, I swear
The floral pull of a lily
is deceptive in its syrupy power
The brush of denim
is comforting against hot skin
The floating wisps of fog
is product of dragons’ wings
The alluring glare of string lights
is sufficient to warm my heart
The clicking clash of keys
is soothing to my ears
The world is large and scary
but there is magic
in the air
And I have found,
darling
And my inspiration lies there

Our world
