Inner-battle

Matthew 16:26

26 For what does it benefit a person if he gains the whole world

but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?

Dwelling

Two in one or one in two,

Who magnifies your lifestyle?

When you're up or when you're down

what impressions do you file?

How do you glorify the Lord

when you are feeling down?

Do you live His sorrows through

as you are Heaven bound?

When you are feeling mighty fine

does the joy of Heaven ring?

But if your feelings are just the flesh

is that when Angels sing?

Is it all a condition of the "Heart"

as it in its environment dwells?

If  in contentment and godliness

it would make it very well.

In dwelling only in the material

and the satisfaction of its gain

would show the battle's awful cost

and Christ's suffering in vain.
