The Inferno

The painted sky

is brought to life

with flickers of golden light.

I have torched the night

with the war cry you taught me.

We are an inferno,

fueled by knowledge,

casting our fervor.

Let us burn through pages;

mark these words -

scar them into thicker skin.

We are an uprising.

The coals don't die;

they are left to tell the story

of our journey - our glory.

We are meteors.

You, who held the poker,

forged the stars,

I hope to match

your opposing ember,

not be scorched by the glow.
