Individuality

Location

Two people need to grow to be in a healthy relationship

I've grown up with you all my life

Yet I find it hard not to take your opinions seriously

It's crippling sometimes, but fueling

Sometimes we agree so much that I forget we're different

But how can that be?

When I'm constantly reminded of our individuality?

I am me and you are you

Why do our differing opinions bother me?

Could it be that I love you more than I should?

Could it be that we're too close?

I'm passionate and over-critical, you're indifferent but caring of me

Maybe one day I'll learn to grow a thick skin to you

Maybe one day I can stop being reminded not to take your opinions to heart
Not the trivial ones anyway

I think I am finally becoming my own person
