Imprisoned ...

Galatians 3:22

22 But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin so that the promise could be given—because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—to those who believe.

Imprisoned

Oh! My dear spirit ...  you are the only one I know

who patiently waits to be set free ... to take my heart in tow.

You don’t have a mind of your own ... you just want to use mine

to help me change it to the image ... of my Lord divine.

The Holy Spirit gently shows you ... the purpose of God

Who guides and directs you ... or the flesh is willing or not?

How can you ever conquer my will, my mind and feelings

while they’re such busy bodies without eyes or ears appealing?

When The Lord redeemed me ... He brought Life to my spirit.

Do I simply lock my spirit away ... as my flesh my will inherits.
