Impossible love

Location

India

Multiple so called relationship, None touched my heart,

The ones that moved me was impossible love.

One who broke me each time he touched,

But i continued to trust as i believed in impossible love

Years passed since i first fell in love, this was when i was chased around.

After a long grief i swore not to fall in love,

Yet another fling happened, here i am again.

It all started during a 2 day trip,

Though he was before for years and never have i noticed,

This was first time i felt like this

I wanted to chase someone, after being chased all this while

No touches, no romantic gazes yet his sensitivity was worth my time.

Some sort of understanding i thought we had as we saw each other,

Or it could be my imagination all together

I still think that he did care.

Anxiety and sleepless night had become my friends for weeks,

Sharing with my best friend and advise i seek,

Go for it girl was the advice given,

Never given up unless you have given your all,

So one fine evening i picked my phone

Dialed his number in a loop only to hang up before tune

Hours had passed doing this,

Finally gather courage and waited for a ring,

Saying to myself please don’t pick up, please don’t answer,

But he picks up just in one ring.

So i thought destiny wants this from me, and i hold my breath as i speaks

A clam voice he says hello,

Shivering and shaking i also greet.

Then came a rush of words which i don’t want to remember,

Silly things i might have said, maybe he laughed at it.

Knew the answer will be no but i still tried,

I don’t regret what i did, not even a bit,

As i like being the one who does not fit.

Never saw him again and that was part of my plan,

So i decided to leave the city as soon as i can.

But sharing this made me feel a lot better

Rejection hurts but denial makes you suffer,

Days passed and we both moved on,

Happily married he is,

as i find the impossible love i can chase on.
