Impossible
Location
I'm in love with the impossible,
I'm in love with an idea.
And whenever I think I've found it,
It's never really here.
I find myself in places
I never knew could be...
Chasing the impossible,
It's never anywhere near me.
The impossible is lovely,
It's perfection itself.
It's not meant for those
Who just sit on the shelf.
You must chase the impossible,
Follow wherever it goes.
I promise you it must exist,
It can't just be a hoax.
Once I've found the impossible,
Everything will change.
People will use blinkers
When changing their lanes.
People will get nicer,
Get more empathetic-
None will ever find another
Anything like "pathetic".
So I will look for the impossible,
Left and low and high...
And the longer I look,
The more it must draw nigh.
The problem with the impossible
Is knowing what it is
For nobody else has seen it
And there are no answers to this quiz.
Or maybe others have seen it
And can't find the words to explain,
Like the taste of a tornado
Or the insanity of the sane.
The impossible must exist,
The impossible must be real;
The impossible is in beauty
And everything you feel.
The impossible is in many things,
Like learning how to read.
Learning how to listen
And learning how to see.
The impossible is in traveling
And learning how to draw-
Recreating creation
And showing what you saw.
The impossible is in communication,
In learning how to talk.
The impossible is in the the internet
And being home yet able to shop.
Mountains are as impossible
As a stubborn little kid.
Martin Luther King Jr was impossible
As is everything he did.
The impossible is in oceans
As it is in every worm.
The impossible is in the albatross
And in every little germ.
If the impossible is in everything
And everything just is,
Then the impossible is possible
And can't possibly exist.
