I'm No Brick (Inspired by the musical RENT, Based on the song "Take Me or Leave Me.")

I'm sorry, I'm not made of plastic.

I'm mostly made of regrets and irony.

My alias is lonely and sarcastic.

I’m blinded by music and fantasy.

I’m no brick, not a trace or an outline,

and I don’t fit your mold.

I’m a sinner, and I’m a drifter.

I’m a walking time bomb with a heart of gold.

I’m petrified of human connection.

I’m a whirlwind of self-destruction.

You want someone to play a role.

I read the lines, but keep my soul.

I’m no brick, not a trace or an outline,

and I don’t fit your mold.

I’m a sinner, and I’m a drifter.

I’m a walking time bomb with a heart of gold.

I’m not suit or a hero, my mouth could start a war.

I could act for you, but really your play is a bore.

I’m no brick, not a trace or an outline,

and I don’t fit your mold.

I’m a sinner, and I’m a drifter.

I’m a walking time bomb with a heart of gold.
