I'm Lost on The Raft of Medusa
I'm lost
On
The raft of
Medusa
Floating endlessly
As
Wayward voyagers
On a
Painter's
Stilled
Life scene.
Friedrich
Does me little
Justice then
As he paints me in
Solemn solitude, having me
Casting glances at seas of
Mist
As it rolls in tides
Of cool
Clouds
That have come
Down to earth
To peek
At our genius
And our gods
Of capital
Gains
And shrines of
Self interest.
I live
Love
In
Turner's sublime captions
Setting the
Cities in rivers of
Hell fire
As we
Watch
Across the river
Remarking
The trashes burning to still
Cinders
And hot
Coals
That feed the fuel lines of
WAR
And
HATE.
Just to die some years later
To
Paranoia
And
Heavens of
Greed.
