I'll Rest in Ashes

Wed, 11/20/2013 - 01:58 -- Severia

I feel like the sky is falling on the eve of this, and I'm bawling,

Anticipating your words and the slaughter of my heart once more.

But from this I know I'll never truly rise again, how can I ever rise again?

Should the phoenix become tired of living again,

I wonder could it rest in its ashes, oh,

I know I'll rest in ashes,

Without your love, I've lasted so long,

Too long.

All I want is to fall into your arms, but no,

When I fall I'll be that heap of ashes.

I'll never want to rise again,

Even if you outstretched your hand,

I wouldn't take it because you would only fake it.
