I'll only remember us this way

I have no interest in small talk tell me about your childhood and what your parents are like and how many siblings you have and if you are afraid of death or if you believe in an afterlife and what your favorite movie is and if you like romantic comedies or horror movies or action movies and what kind of music you like and why and tell me the bands or artists you loved in middle school but are too ashamed to admit to anyone else and tell me you love me on our first date. You'd envelope me in your arms and I'd melt almost completely in your stare. And our existence would stop completely if only for a moment, just enough for a small kiss. And all the pain would stop like every bad thing that had ever happened to us was just little puzzle pieces that collectively fit together to form this extravagant picture. Our whole future out lined by this little kiss. But, I guess you couldn't see the wind in the trees and you can't see the wind in the leaves and you can't see the weight in the dark and you can't see the weight in my heart... But, for a moment you were enough for me. Thank you so much for everything. A least you tried.
