"I'll always be by your side"

"I'll always be by your side," he told me.

Blood and tears were dissolved on the floor.

But blood stains will always be engraved in my heart.

I pleaded but you were not there anymore,

The feeling of indifference surely brought us apart.

Now, in the darkest of my thoughts, I reminisce at last,

What I could have done to repair our trust.

I realize now that this was all in the past,

Friendship and memories have been turned into dust.

Ten years have passed, seems not that long,

We were telling stories, jokes, and more.

I see you in the water I drink, still hear you in a song,

Think it's you when they ring at the door.

But no, it's not you, it never is, it never was,

I keep thinking "I should have tried."

If you really did love me than you should have

Remembered you told me "I'll always be by your side."
