if the world were my classroom

If the world were my classroom I would teach about life, about love, and about loss. More importantly about how these three subjects are so intimately intertwined. How unfair life, love, and loss can be. I would teach the things that the soul wishes to say, yet keeps quite for fear of judgement. I would open my students hearts and minds to the skeletons of their past, and teach them that in order to accept who they are, they must first learn to accept who they have been. I would persuade my students to keep a notebook, in which they keep all their personal poetry, stories, dreams, wishes and goals in. The best way to self discovery is to write, not to premeditate what you write, but to simply put pen to paper and free your mind. I would teach my children the value of a pencil and a blank page. Overall, I would teach my children how to discover themselves, and how important it is to hold on to who you really are. That in a world of chaos, you must never lose your sense of self.
