If Only I Wouldn't Get Detention

Location

You teach me these credentials

But do not let me know about the essentials

You purposely call on me when I do not know

Then my face turns red and oh it does show

You assign homework over break

But I couldn't do it because i went to the lake

Then came my failing grade

Then an F was where it laid

I come to you with me questions

You only tell me I should have paid more attention to the lessons

If only you know how much I despise you

Oh how much this would surprise you

You call my mom just to have a chat

But in the end you are just a rat

Because of you I cannot text my friend

Because i have no message on a phone to send

If only you knew how much none of us like you

You would run to the door and then go through

You do not make this learning fun

Whenever I see your class in the other direction I want to run

How did you get this job anyway?

You were probably the last resort of the day

Your class puts me to sleep

Because none of your lessons are deep

I used to sit by my friend and all was well

Then you moved me, oh that was not swell

I think you don't like me because I talk

But that surely is no reason because my mouth will not lock

Maybe I should cut you some slack

After all you are from way back

If only you gave me the chance to show you I'm good

You would treat me as you should
