If I Were Flawless...
If I were perfect,
I'd have a perfect personality,
A perfect smile, a perfect laugh,
A perfect complexion, a thigh-gap,
I'd be 1O pounds lighter,
I'd have perfect grades.
But, then I would be a robot.
Why would I want stupid things,
Like like a perfect laugh,
Or a thigh-gap?
I'm happy with my corny laugh,
And my curvy body.
I'm flawless in my own skin;
Through my own eyes.
Once one realizes they are flawless,
Their eyes change,
They open to a new world.
Mine did.
I realized I'm flawless.
By simply being myself.
If I were flawless,
I'd have flawless, really curly, frizzy hair,
That's hard to manage.
I'd have a flawless, curvy body,
That is flawlessly proportional.
I'd have flawless, painted fingernails,
That are done to match my outfits,
I'd have flawless, brown eyes,
that my boyfriend obsesses over.
And I'd have a flawless, amazing boyfriend,
Who showers me with love.
But I don't have to say,
"If I were..."
I say, "I am..."
So every morning I wake up,
Saying, "I'm flawless,
Cause I woke up like this."
