I'd Change Everything But You

Location

I would tell time to stop ticking so fast.

Plead the sun to set later, and the moon to rise even later.

I don't want the crickets to start chirpping so loudly already.

I just want to stick to the past,

where our friendship was greater

than it is now, so unsteady.

What would I change?

What COULD I change?

I know one thing for sure

I'd change everything but you.

I would make the hate go away,

from school to home,

I'd make the pain go away

So you wouldn't feel so alone.

I would just scream all day,

with you by my side.

I would sing everyday,

just to let the tears subside.

What would I change?

What COULD I change?

I know one thing for sure

I'd change everything but you.

So your prom date's someone else,

Is that so bad?

I'm not gonna hate you just for that.

I want you to just think of yourself.

I've hurt you,

I've crushed our love.

So I don't deserve anything,

but you deserve it all.

What would I change?

What COULD I change?

I know one thing for sure

I'd change everything but you.

I'd change everything about me,

but that also wouldn't be fair.

I was the one that made our love bleed.

So with you, I have no more memories to share.

I know you loved me,

but I wasn't ready.

Now that I love you,

you already grew.

What would I change?

What COULD I change?

I know one thing for sure

I'd change everything but you.

Everything but you.

You stay the same.

Everything but you.

I'd probably change.

Everything but you.

But now it's too late.
