I wonder if she knew what she was doing
with all the hell she raised,
all due to the education she was fighting for and pursuing.

I wonder if she held her ground,
Hearing nothing but racial slurs all over town,
Cause to them, an educated colored

I wonder if she really paid any mind,
To the closed minded racists,
who sought to use any excuse they could find..

To ruin a little black girl's dream,
Only to bequeath and make free,
Education for all minorities

This poem is about the little girl in the 1960's who made education free for all by staying in school and helping minorities have the stupendous choice of pursuing an education.
