I used to spread hateBut
I used to spread hate
But now I preach acceptance
I always judged people for the things I never understood
But I never tried to understand
I once viewed discrimination as an outsider
But now I receive it first hand
If I could turn back time
I would use my voice to spread the words:
‘They never asked for this’
I can't go back
But I can use my voice now
I won't close my mouth
But I might bite
I used to spread hate
But now I preach acceptance
This poem is about:
Me
My country
Our world
