I Sing Not of War

Location

 

I sing not of war
For none can anymore
In hopes that do end it
'Fore one could mend it
It breaks free, so does it spoil
And devours all in black turmoil
 
For now, 
at least 
I sing of peace
Would anyone else?
 
It isn't written on any stone
Nor can it be forgotten.
But does it break 'most every bone!
Unseen and unbegotten.
 
It cannot be missed!
It ends in purple day
But heed ye this;
It never goes away.
 
Dead are the wise
And lost are the brave
It killed them like flies
And stunned all sage.
 
Be wary my progeny:
It will bring no kindness;
It brings misanthropy,
So be not in blindness.
 
I've broken my vows
To sing of it not
But if I can now
Be solemn and wrought
 
I sing not of it;
I sing not of.
I sing not,
I sing.
 
I sing not
Of...
