I Ran Into the Woods

I ran into the woods as the monsters chased me.

They could feel the pounding of my heartbeat with each step I took...

Thoomp-thoomp, thoomp-thoomp.

They wanted me dead, to carve out my heart and eat my soul.

I kept running because they can never get ahold.

The wind slammed against my face and legs were going lim.

But I was on a whim.

These were my monsters.

The breed of my darkness.

If overtaken I would go heartless.

Nevertheless I ran into the woods.
