I noticed.

Mon, 04/05/2021 - 12:39 -- Deeva

I noticed your wore down, determined hands held stories only you collect.

I noticed how your skin held scars through the physical.

I noticed your childlike smile and how I wish it could have stayed there for a lifetime.

But along your skin, I could see the tear stains that made home underneath your perceptive eyes.

I could see all the agony.

Wishing I could take that away,

I never found trouble in comforting the little child within.

you sleeping on my shoulder.

You insisting me to hold you.

You venturing off into your own world while you passionately sang praises of memories.

I notice it all.

Although all eyes catch a stern reflection.

I see the boy who never seemed to understand his new face.

I notice him.
