I never dreamed that my life would be

Applying for a scholarship using poetry

Thinking many scholarships would be as sweet as tea

Enjoying the fact that many are free

However becoming frustrated with all the registry 

But knowing that to have money for college, scholarships are the key

I know for a fact there is nothing wrong with financial need

Because not everyone has bathtubs filled with money

I know alone I cannot pay for college, neither can my family

That is why I am applying for them using poetry

However, I never dreamed that my life would be!
