Do you know the burden that I hide,
it's a pain of burning flame,
but its hidden as a stain,
a stain in my "oh so perfect" heart,
but the "oh so perfect" part is broken apart,
I can't stand to hear your name,
without remembering all of your blame,
you despise me for who I'm not,
and my heart is burning hot,
from thinking about what it could have been,
and dying from what it's not,
you didn't even give US another chance,
and now I only "see" you when I take a chance and glance,
and risk crying over the past,
