I lie in bed at

I lie in bed at night

Thinking of what might have been.

I dream of white gowns and blue flowers.

Imagning all the whens.

But the whens never come because the ifs happened instead.

So the whites turn to blacks and the blues become reds.

Don't drive away never to return,

don't pick up that phone it's just going to burn.

My hopes become memories as I say one final goodbye to the tears on my pillow as the shade walks by.

I whisper farewell and fall into dreams thinking of you and all that was left unseen.
