I just want to help

Let my words trickle into the cracks of your resolve

And flush out the stubbornness

I see your problems and with my actions I try to solve

but you refuse my governance

I want to steal the emotions you hide

Can’t you see me trying

You say there’s nothing wrong, that you’re alright inside

Yet you’re always crying

I don’t know how to help when you block me out

Can you just lower your shield

You say the trust came and gone, that there is still doubt

That you can no longer let your heart be revealed

You forgot that I’ve been with you through thick and thin

That it’s too late for me to go back

You know that I’d try anything to win your grin

It’s my duty to get you back on track

I won’t attempt to say I know your pain

It seems so intense you would just suddenly yelp

You try to bear the burden alone, and let your heart strain

Look to me, I’m always here, I just want to help
