I Hope You're Happy

I hope that you’re happy,
When you’re sitting with her
In the spot we used to sit.

I hope that you’re happy,
When she kisses your lips
The same ones I once kissed.

I hope that you’re happy,
When she tells you she loves you
The same words I once told you.

I hope she makes you happy,
Like I once did.
And I hope she makes you happy,
In ways I never could.

I hope that you’re happy,
On all of your adventures.
And I hope that you’re happy,
Since I can’t be.

I hope that I can be happy,
And I hope I can see you one day,
So we can share where our lives have taken us.

I hope we can one day be friends,
Not lovers, friends.
We can have lunch in a nice café,
Perhaps grab a bite to eat.

I hope that all your dream come true,
I hope your life leaves you fulfilled,
And above all else:
I hope that you’re happy.
