I have the power of a lion  

but you allow me to be a bird

locked up in a dark space I sit

until you decide I'm ready

I have no place to fly

open the cage

so I can learn about life

I could conquer the world

but all I want is respect

my soul is dehydrated

provide me with water

guide, but don't control,

me over the raging river of Life

let me Take the lead

But then again I'm just a teen

I will always be a teen

until you open the cage to life
