I Have Nothing

Here I stand with nothing of my own,

Everything was given to me from the start.

Standing on an empty road I must take this path alone,

Watching everything fall apart.

I played the tragic hero, who lost his whole world,

That was before I realized. Nothing belonged to me.

Not even my title as Earl.

But even then, I cannot see.

May I have lost my sanity?

Or was that given to me as well?

This feeling of loss and anger, so hard to quell.

Why do I feel this way?

When I had nothing and lost nothing.

So many words that I cannot say.
