I Have a Dream

Location

Dreams. Everyone dreams.

“Dreams are limitless,” everyone says.

“Dreams are whimsical,” everyone says.

But how many actually reach those dreams?

“How many little girls become princesses?”

“How many little boys become astronauts?”

Or how many people allow their dreams to die as they age,

to fade into oblivion.

Not I.

I stand strong.

I have a dream.

Dreams. Everyone dreams.

“Dreams are limitless,” everyone says.

“Dreams are whimsical,” everyone says.

But how many actually reach those dreams?

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

“What do you want to do to change the world?”

I know what I want, to be Secretary of State of the United States

I.

I stand strong.

I have a dream.

Dreams. Everyone dreams.

“Dreams are limitless,” everyone says.

“Dreams are whimsical,” everyone says.

But how many actually reach those dreams?

“How can you do it? That’s impossible.”

“You’ll never be able to do something that big.”

But I can. I can and I will, have a voice in the world.

I will change the world.

I.

I stand strong.

I have a dream to be the Secretary of State.

And I will succeed.
