I Hated You

Location

I hated you.

I cursed at you.

I clawed at the sky at times hoping that my wicked hands might scratch your face.

You hated me.

I thought you did.

I saw no reason to place my faith, my hope, my trust in you.

I suffered much.

I endured much pain.

I thought that it was your doing, that you were trying to kick me while I was down.

You sent me signs.

I ignored them.

I slashed at their meaningfulness as nothing more than the coincidence from a cold, cold world.

At last I fell.

And you caught me.

I never thought that I would be able to feel joy again.

You love me.

I know you do.

Your loving embrace is all I need to go against the plethora of wicked hearts here.
