A disheartened child with eyes filled with tears.
A broken heart and mind filled with fears.
Another one waits with sadness in his chest,
Betrayal fresh in a body with no rest.
Paths cross and the two meet.
They hear each other's heart beat.
When rain begins to fall, their refuge is each other.
One's problem is rejection, the other his mother.
A comforting embrace brings the children closer.
Here they stand now, much wiser, much older.
Still together they stand,
hearts beating with a new demand.
Their lives forever changed,
with only love to blame.
