i forgot i'm forgetting i'm forgotten.

I forgot I’m forgetting I’m forgotten

Since I got away from you for solid years,

Built up confidence like a Berlin wall that separated my mind from people like you.

And you tore it down in the one second,

Eyes meeting like death in a demolition derby -

I even saw my life flash before my eyes with all the good times I had without you.

I wish I loved myself.

I wish I didn’t want to look like them,

But I'm in the skin of a monster in every single way you could think of.

I wish I loved myself.

I wish I thought I can be good at doing anything besides

pretending that I’m knowing what I’m doing

even through running into you at bus stops and shopping malls.

I forgot I’m forgetting I’m forgotten,

but I remember now.
