I Don't Know What To Title This Poem Without Being Offensive

People use scripture

for every argument,

With hate and vigor

It seems they're incompetent

of showing love.

The simple truth:

Everyone's a sinner

And we're all hypocrites.

Don't forget that as you sit in your pew;

Remember those verses you misused.

The Bible is against

things like homosexuality

because love seems like a calamity,

So two men are oppressed.

But what about those other verses?

Recall that line by Peter;

Love one another deeply,

Because Love trumps sin easily.

Love is our greatest feature,

the only weapon against sin.

But somehow we forget

Jesus did not die for the saint,

He died for every sinner without complaint

So His love is in us to emit

On every single person- not just who we see fit.

I Peter 4:8
