I Don't

Sun, 12/04/2016 - 21:08 -- jxxh

I don't quite know how to tell you,

tell you about what goes through my skull,

when your eyes light up like neon street lights,

in a city all too far away,

I don't know what to say,

when you confess your love to me,

over a skype call at 2:30 am,

Oh so sweet,

but never quite real enough to act upon,

I don't know how to act,

when your lips pull into a sideways smirk,

all too alluring,

but not genuine enough to return,

like the smile you give off when you laugh,

at one of your silly little jokes,

I don't know how to confess,

my undying love for you,

from your cute little quips of laughter,

to your humorous stories of life,

your caring questions of my well-being,

and your passion.

I'm a fool for you, but I don't know how to tell you,

because to love you,

out loud,

would be something I am fearful of,

for I am a coward.
