That I Can Live
Location
Underneath the beating blanket of society,
Underneath the glamour ,
and glitz,
and cotton,
and thread,
and black leather boots,
and blood,
and bone,
and sinewy muscle,
and skin,
lies me,
itching, scratching, clawing
to break free from it all:
A lioness labeled a fawn,
A lioness labeled
an owl, a tiger, a frog, a rabbit, a sloth, and a snake.
*
People have called themselves
dispicable,
dreadfully dull,
and indolent,
and people have called me
better and worse by far.
Yet,
I am just one of many,
who will perish,
"Dust to Dust."
So I don't care to sort the labels,
to document the myself,
and to fake happiness,
when i could be
truly happy
cherishing
every
single
golden
glowing
life-filled
moment
that I can live before the end.
