I can fight cancer. ( fIght CANcer)

Location

All the radiation, chemo, and every pill,

Through your smile shined such strong will.

It gets harder to breathe every breath of air.

You skin goes pale, and slowly starting to lose your hair.

The cancer eats at you like a starved disease,

Killing your insides and slowly bringing you to your knees.

But still you give it your all, you won't give up this fight.

Short mornings and long nights...

Your family doesn’t know what they'd do,

if they were forced and had no choice but to lose you.

Quiet tears shed behind slightly closed doors.

You may have lost a battle but you wont lose the war.

A dark cloud over your life that just wont go away.

“It's not about waiting for the storm to pass but dancing in the rain.”

Colon, and rectal cancer, cancer in your bladder...

don't you worry soon it will be easier to climb that ladder.

Edometrial, or cancer in your breast,

going through every blood test, and becoming depressed.

Leukemia, Cancer in your kidney,

thinking to yourself “ how could this happen to me?”

Melanoma, or cancer in your lung,

It's weird how cancer can happen to someone so young.

Pancreatic, prostate, thyroid, and that’s not even half.

Keep your head up, never forget to live, love and laugh.

And I know it's hard, I could never truly understand

cause this part of your life, was never really planned.

I can only imagine what you're going through.

How much you wish it was all just a dream, and it wasn’t true.

But it's all in your attitude, that is what will carry you on.

I know it feels like forever and it's been way too long.

All the needles and the pain going through your veins.

Feeling like a prisoner strapped down by chains.

Don't look at how far you have left to go,

forget what the doctors say, and that little note with your name below.

Look at how far you've come, you may not be there yet...

but you're closer than you were yesterday, don't forget!

Cancer isn’t contagious, but hope is.

Mom, dad, friend, yours , hers , or his...

I truly hope one day there is a cure...

till then believe, hope, dream, "f I g h t    C A N c e r ".
